How to articulate social progress and ecological transition?
This was one of the issues being addressed by the VILLA DOMA project presented this morning in Salon de Provence (13) to various regional housing actors.
There were numerous challenges in this demolition-reconstruction – which saw 219 social homes designed for Adoma (CDC Habitat Group) and Eiffage Construction.
Principal amongst them were how to provide a project in several stages while minimising impact on the local community; treating public and private spaces considerately to create a home for all; highlighting the unique southern industrialisation process using concrete and the creation of a new employment and training centre.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Atelier WOA.
