Situated on a linear plot, the building opens up to public spaces through strategic setbacks, while the ground floor fosters intergenerational gatherings and the collective rooftop terrace offers views over the neighborhood and the Besòs River. Organized into small living clusters, it encourages natural ventilation and building-floor communities on a human scale. The housing units, composed of four rooms connected by sliding doors, offer high spatial flexibility with no hierarchy between living room and bedroom, ensuring autonomy and inclusion for all.
The construction relies on a prefabricated CLT timber structure and standardized bathroom and kitchen modules, ensuring efficiency and a clean construction site. The development combines passive strategies—cross-ventilation, brise-soleil—with a circular economy approach to deliver a sustainable, efficient building that respects its residents’ quality of life.
